What is electrolysis?

During electrolysis, a tiny probe, the same size as a hair, is gently inserted into the hair follicle, down the papilla (the part that nourishes the hair). A very low electrical current destroys the papilla, ending further hair growth.

Is electrolysis painful?

Until now the electrical current used in the process was transmitted at a fixed intensity, resulting in an unpleasant sensation. SEQUENTIUM VMC is a innovative machine using the patented Sequential Modulation System by Silhouet-Tone. During the insertion of the probe, the system modulates the intensity and duration of the current, achieving next-to-painless electrolysis.
A topical anesthetic numbing creme is applied to the area to help with any discomfort.

Is it really permanent?

Yes! Electrolysis, which utilizes the probe, is the only permanent hair removal method recognized and practiced by the medical community and licensed electrologist.

How long does it take?

The number of treatements required depends on several factors:
electrolysis treatement the area being treated
electrolysis treatement how much hair is involved
electrolysis treatement adherence to the schedule of appointments (determined by the electrologist in accordance with the hair growth phase)
electrolysis treatement tolerance for the procedure (tolerance is greater with the variable modulated currents used by SEQUENTIUM VMC)

Is it safe?

Professional electrolysis maintain the strictest standards of hygiene. Sterile, disposable needles are only used once, ensuring your complete safety.
